3. Riscs
Very slightly flammable products. Heavier than air. Inhalation of vapour causes dizziness, headache and nausea.
High vapour concentrations can lead to loss of consciousness due to a deficiency of oxygen.
On contact with the skin or eyes the liquid can cause serious frostbite. In terms of appearance and seriousness, frostbite and burns are comparable. |
4. First-aid measures
After inhalation : remove casualty to fresh air.
On contact with the liquid: place casualty in a warm room, slowly remove clothing.
On contact with the bare skin and/or eyes: rinse with plenty of water. |
5. Fire-fighting measures
Shut off gas supply before extinguishing the flames. Use water to keep storage tanks and cylinders cool. |
6. Accidental release measures
Shut off the gas supply. Provide natural ventilation. If possible, disperse the gas by spraying with water.
Eliminate any sources of ignition. |
7. Storage and handling
These products are liquid under pressure and should be stored in suitable containers in a well-ventilated place.
Storage tanks must always be earthed.
Handling: use appropriate fittings only (valves, flexible fittings, pressure regulators, hoses, etc.) |
8. Exposure / Personal protective equipment
If there is a risk of contact with the liquid, use appropriate protection such as cold-insulating, impervious gloves, face shield, etc. |
