Propane is stored in a specially designed container. Each propane gas tank is built to withstand the pressure of the propane, which is stored in the tank in liquid form. Each tank is also fitted with a pressure-relief valve. This kind of valve is best compared to the steam valve on a steam boiler. This protects the tank from excessive pressure inside the tank.
To protect the tank from external influences, the following rules are also applied.

In the case of an underground tank these distance requirements must only be observed from the access pit.
Each tank is also fitted with a gas offtake valve and a gauge. New technology allows you to read off the content from the comfort of your own home.
The propane is delivered to your home in typical gas trucks. Modern trucks have remote-controlled equipment for initiating delivery and for stopping it at any time. The driver must also confirm every minute that the delivery may continue. You never know!
In view of the length of the delivery hose (approximately 60 metres), it is nearly always possible to find a place for the tank that complies with the regulations imposed.
