Seminck Gas has designed a tank that cannot be equalled. The design took into account

• the natural vaporisation of propane
• the prevention of water problems with the fittings
• easy accessibility of the fittings

By welding a pipe to the tank on which the manifold is fitted, we have added a whole new dimension to the propane tank concept.

In addition, the steel single-walled tank (5mm thick) is protected against corrosion by an epoxy coating, which is itself protected by a shock-absorbent layer. These two layers together have a dielectric strength of 10kvolt/cm². To complete the protection the propane tank is coupled with 2 x 4 kg of magnesium (the anodes). This cathodic protection will provide additional protection for the tank.
A representative from an authorised inspection body monitors the installation of the tank. It is vital that the protective coating of the tank is not damaged during installation.
Once the tank has been placed, our own staff also provide an access pit and fit the pressure regulator, the isolation valve, several metres of shielded copper and the remote wireless pressure recorder.
